Arrest Raila and Uhuru if they disregard the law, Mbeere North MP says

Mbeere North Member of Parliament Geoffrey Ruku  has urged President William Ruto to invoke various sections of the law to arrest former President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga "if they try to destabilize the nation through unnecessary political rallies".

Ruku said that the past election was free and fair and that Ruto's win was squarely won.

The first-term MP said that demonstrations and unnecessary political rallies at this time was pure tactics by the Azimio leaders to derail the stabilization of the economy.

Speaking in a function in the constituency,  he said Azimio leaders who were opposed to paying tax were the voices behind the demonstrations saying everyone has a responsibility to pay taxes.

Ruku said as Kenya Kwanza leaders they respect the former President Uhuru Kenyatta together with the former premier Raila Odinga but urged them to follow the law and pay taxes.

"The Kenya Kwanza target is to reform the economy of the country and these cannot be realised without peace in the country. We are requesting President William Ruto to ensure everybody pays tax. Uhuru must pay. Raila must pay.  If they defy,  they must be arrested. The only person who cannot be arrested while in office is the President of Kenya, all the other Kenyans,me included,  can all be arrested,"said Ruku.

The legislator said no one should be allowed to flout the Constitution and allowed to walk scot free.

Further, he urged Kenyans to continue supporting the president to deliver his manifesto.
