Farmers in Kitui County have been urged to take advantage of the prevailing high temperatures to dry their crops to acceptable moisture levels in order to minimize post harvest losses.
In his weekly weather advisory sent to newsrooms, County Director of Meteorological Services Daniel Mbithi said the maximum temperature for the week forecast will range between 27°C to 36°C. The minimum temperature, on the other hand, will oscillate between 17°C and 24°C.
Several places in Kitui County are likely to receive light rains. "Several places are likely to receive light rainfall on Friday not exceeding 10mm", read the Kitui County weather advisory in part.
