The Maa community university students in the Lower Eastern region have called upon the government to move swiftly and end banditry killings in Samburu County.

Addressing the media, the students expressed pain of losing their loved ones in recent attacks in their communities.
Wilson Lemosi, a Kenyatta University student from Samburu County decried loss of lives and trauma they have been subjected to by the banditry attacks.
"The pain of losing our loved ones is immeasurable. We demand tangible actions and results from government to end the cycle of violence and bring lasting peace and security in Samburu", said Nelson Lembunge, another student.
The right to life is enshrined in the constitution as a fundamental human right.
