It is with great concern to note that our children need to be protected from social media.The uncontrolled use of social media is alarming and perpetrating the loss of dignity in our society.In recent days,the rate of social media consumption by children has risen and is alarming.
Guardians are unaware of what their kids are doing on the phone especially when alone.This is likely to lead us to unfortunate phenomena in our esteemed and preservative societies.
Children are consuming ample time in social media leading to inadequate socialization.Notably, socialization is key to our living models in the society and now it is put on the line.We are turning to be a society of of unhappy and depressed people.This is aided by social media.
We are not condemning this beautiful tool of interaction and passage of information.We are only concerned by its influence in our little ones.Our children are being exposed to extremist ideologies and extensive anxiety altering their customary mode of thinking and doing things.For instance,our youths of the "Gen Z" do not believe and value marriage simply because of the content they are exhibited to in social media.
Let us stand strong and bold to protect our children from social media.Let them interact well with others and we will live as a joyous family.
