Passengers escape death narrowly as Matatu is involved in self-accident

A 41 seater matatu rolled along Kitui-Matuu-Thika road which is about two kilometers from Kabati town.
Rescue efforts go on in Kombu area in Kabati trading centre, Kitui West when a 41-seater Matatu christened Benjo Tour was involved in an accident at around 3pm.|MWINGI TIMES

Around 40 passengers escaped death by a whisker when the self-accident happened around 3pm on Wednesday.
The public service vehicle was travelling towards Thika town from Kitui town. It was christened Benjo Tour. 

The exact spot of accident was Kombu area near Kabati trading centre in Kitui West Sub County. The injured were rushed to Kauwi Sub County Hospital for treatment. Good Samaritans helped the injured as the accident caused a temporary traffic jam which traffic police cleared soon after.
