In our society today there are various myths and misconceptions about HIV and AIDS on how it is transmitted but this is as a result of lack of awareness or outdated beliefs which lead to negative judgments about people living with HIV. People Living with HIV are mostly discriminated in the society and sometimes even considered as outcasts and they receive various names such as positives which is not good. Due to this most HIV positive patients end up being affected mentally and emotionally.
People Living with HIV should keep themselves healthy and avoid transmitting the AIDS virus to others.
As a society we can take part in ending HIV stigma through our word and actions towards the People Living with HIV and AIDS. People Living with HIV deserve to be taken good care of and the families of the affected people should ensure that they undergo medical care to ensure that they live long. People Living with HIV should also be allowed to participate in activities such as sports to ensure that they are physically fit.
People Living with HIV should seek guidance and counseling to ensure that they are not affected mentally and emotionally. Families living with HIV positive patients should do research and learn more about HIV and AIDS through research and even consulting a health care professional. This is to ensure that they take care of the affected people. They should also have a first aid kit that contains gloves and a disinfectant. This is because the HIV positive patients may cut themselves and one should wear gloves before treating them to prevent any way of contracting the virus.
People Living with HIV should keep themselves healthy by seeking medical care and by avoiding to transmit it to others. The government should also provide knowledgeable people to create awareness to the people concerning HIV and AIDS. This is to ensure that they get rid of the outdated beliefs in the society. People in the society should create time and ensure that they encourage them to ensure that they don't lose hope.
It is true that one can't get rid of HIV but the patients should seek medical care to ensure that the virus is under control.
