The first week of October will be marked by sunny conditions during the day while nights are likely to be cloudy. A few places in Kitui County are likely to experience morning rains and afternoon showers, Kitui County Director of Meteorological Services Daniel Mbithi said in the weekly weather forecast sent to newsrooms.

This week will be hot, KMD weather forecast shows. The maximum temperature according to the weatherman will range from 25°C to 36°C. As for the minimum readings on thermometer, it will be between 14°C and 23°C.
Residents have been warned about strong winds likely to continue blowing across various regions in Kitui County. "Strong southerly to south easterly winds with speeds exceeding 25 knots [12.9m/s] are expected in most parts of the County", said Mr Mbithi.
Ward extension officers will come in handy in order to help farmers use the best farm practices for best harvests during the upcoming October-November-December rains.
