Tough balancing act in delivering elections goodies in Kitui

Governor Julius Malombe and Speaker Kevin Katisya held a press conference after a weeklong consultative meeting. They agreed to nurture good leadership in governing the County of Kitui. 

The leaders held consultative forum dubbed "Financing County Development In The Face of Shrinking Fiscal Space". The venue was a Mombasa hotel.

Later, Kitui Governor Dr Malombe read a joint communique at the close of the seven day conference. "Both H.E. the Governor and the Hon. Speaker will continue to offer leadership and effective governance on matters impacting on the livelihoods of our people", he said.

The second term Wiper party county boss said that he will continue working with the County Assembly while respecting the principle of separation of powers. Speaker Katisya said that the consultative meeting was key in helping the county government prioritize projects and programmes that will transform the lives of wananchi.
