During the beastial act the girl got pregnant and has since given birth.
Mutomo magistrate Lawrence Kyasya also found the man, Mwanzia Musya Kalondu, guilty of eloping with the girl.
He was also cited for threatening his victim as he was planning to force her to procure an abortion.
In passing the sentence on the accused, Kyasya , sent him to prison for 30 years. He also expressed regrets that cases of defilement were on an upward trend in Kitui South constituency.
The convict was given 14 days right of appeal if not satisfied with the court decision.
He was also found to have attempted to elope with the minor, threatening her as well as planning force her to procure an abortion.
The young woman is now a mother, the Magistrate observed. As a result, the convict had not taken responsibility of his actions for taking care of the newborn child and the mother. Magistrate Kyasya said this was a burden to the girl who has to raise the newborn singlehandedly.
"The victim is a mother and has a burden of bringing up the child. In your prayers, you have not told the court of your plans to help the young mother in taking care of the newborn", said the Magistrate.
The Magistrate added that if minor was not rescued, she'd have risked her life and that of the unborn baby during the planned abortion.
