A National Youth Service recruitment is set to take place in Kitui county from February 10 to 14, this year.
In a letter to the county commissioner seen by MWINGI TIMES, NYS Commandant General James Tembur asked the county security boss to give the recruitment team the necessary assistance they require. "Kindly accord the recruitment team the necessary assistance required", he says.
The letter is copied to Governor Dr Julius Malombe and all the 18 deputy county commissioners in Kitui county for coordinating and cooperation between both national and county governments.
Similar exercises will be done across the country with advertisements placed in newspapers detailing their schedule for the exercise aimed at training the youth as well as creating jobs for them.
For you to qualify for recruitment in the NYS, you must be aged between 18 and 24 years. Academically, have a mean grade of D plain and above in KCSE.
Due to the rigorous physical training, be ready to undergo medical tests during and after the recruitment exercise.
