As the clock ticks towards 2027 elections, the youth vote may find a bigger representation in the Senate. Charles Musyoka is a man on a mission to become the youngest senator if elected into office.

He says he understands where he is coming from since the challenges affecting the marginalized county have also affected him while growing up in Tseikuru, Mwingi North sub county.
Keen to ride on the wave of change, he vows, "no matter what, our voice will be heard". The Kenyatta University graduate describes his campaign as modest while unapologetically declaring that everyone is looking for a change "from the old, old ages to new stored way of doing things well".
Musyoka gives hope to young people that he will fight corruption as their leader and that jobs will not only go to those with connections but the qualified.
Kitui county plagued by bitting water shortages which include locals trekking for kilometers to fetch drinking water as well as for other uses. Charles rolls out his plan to address water shortages by pledging to ensure that boreholes are drilled across the county for public use. He also told MWINGI TIMES that water pans will be excavated during his tenure to avail water for livestock and horticulture.
Above urgent needs for Kitui county comes against the backdrop of the Executive being called out by the Office of the Controller of Budget for spending finances set for developing the region on travel. Machakos county was the other one flagged for similar expenditures among other devolved units. Both Ukambani counties featured among the top ten countrywide.
In an interview with MWINGI TIMES, Charles Musyoka said that his intention to vie for Kitui Senator seat was driven by the need for change in leadership for benefiting residents such as youth unemployment, boosting agriculture and promoting peaceful coexistence with neighboring communities.
On matters health, he avers that much needs to be done if SHA will benefit marginalized counties like his. One way of ensuring the health insurance succeeds is by paying health workers well and procuring better equipment for county hospitals, he says.
As a peacemaker, he pledges to ensure neighboring communities will live harmoniously rather than being caught up in endless cattle rustling menace as witnessed with the southern regions near Tana River county.
