EMBU Governor Cecily Mbarire has squarely blamed a top political party leader from Mt Kenya for sponsoring and coordinating the destruction of businesses in Embu county during the commemoration of Gen Z protesters who were killed for resisting the 2024 Finance Bill.
The Embu county boss was speaking at the county headquarters flanked by county security officials and senator Alexander Mundigi.
"Money was given out to goons... You cannot come here and turn Embu to a battle field. You come here and use local leaders. You are using your spanner boy. This will not be tolerated at all", she said.
The UDA Chairperson vowed to stay firm and not yield to intimidations from political rivals.
