A police officer reportedly shot dead his girlfriend and another woman in a bar in Kanyonyoo market, Kitui Rural constituency. A police report seen by MWINGI TIMES shows Bernard Siambe shot dead his girlfriend Joy Mutisya and another lady only identified as Judy. The weapon used in the killing was an AK-47 riffle.
"The girlfriend had sought refuge in a house within the plot of Janet Ndanu and in the process, the officer shot her and another woman only identified as Judy" the OB report reads further.
The assailant escaped police dragnet after commiting the heinous crime. Police have since mounted a search to arrest him and bring justice to the victims and their families.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Kitui Level Five Hospital morgue.
