New Water Project in Ngomeni Benefits Over 300 Households

ON FRIDAY, Kitui Governor Dr Julius Malombe commissioned the River Thunguthu -Mwangeni Sumpwell water supply scheme in Kakwa/Kivuti, Ngomeni Ward.
KITUI County Governor Julius Malombe takes a sip of water in a newly built water supply channel at River Thunguthu -Mwangeni Sumpwell. He commissioned the facility to serve over 300 households.

The project which produces 50 cubic meters (50000 litres) of water per day is benefiting over 300 homes in the area.

The water facility is managed by KIMWASCO. Plans are underway to install elevated tanks at Mwangeni making it possible to serve other neighboring shopping centres such as Kakunguu and Kalwa.
