Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has vowed to work closely with the national government to ensure that the people of Kitui continue to benefit from major development projects.

He highlighted several recent achievements made possible through support from the national government, among them the constructed Ithookwe Kitui Stadium, the revived Kitui Airstrip,
and improved road projects, including those recently launched by the President William Ruto, noting that such projects are improving infrastructure and enhancing access to services across the county.
He further reiterated that he will continue championing partnerships that bring tangible benefits to the people of Kitui, urging residents to support ongoing efforts to advance development across the county.
He was speaking on Saturday during the burial ceremony of the late Grace Syong'ombe Mutua, mother to Bretta Mwangangi, the Chief Officer for Irrigation in Matinyani, Kitui West Sub-County.
