A renowned businessman was brutally killed by robbers in Kabati town, Kitui West constituency, on Saturday evening. Kaui senior chief Thomas Munyao confirmed the incident.
"The robbers were armed with guns and drove a Subaru car. They killed one businessman named David Kuvungua. Investigations are ongoing", said the local administrator.
Police arrested suspects in connection with the chilling murder incident. Chief Munyao said among those arrested was the wife to the deceased. He urged members of the public to volunteer any information they have to help in investigations.
On his Facebook page, Mutonguni Ward MCA Benjamin Mulandi condoled with the family of the renowned businessman. "The killers in face masks and gloves tied up the children and workers before eloping with cash of unknown value and killing him.
