Electrifying performances by two renowned Kamba musicians—Stephen Kasolo, famous for his crowd-moving sacred songs, and Alex Kasau, popularly known as Katombi for his secular hits—literally set a wedding reception ablaze with excitement on Saturday evening.
Both musicians thrilled guests, drawing them to their feet in a dancing frenzy during the reception celebrating the solemnization of the marriage between Malili Construction Company CEO Eng. Nicholas Mulwa and Technical University of Kenya lecturer Dr. Nelly Cherono.
As the crowd erupted in celebration and joined the musicians and their teams on stage, the newlyweds could not hold back their joy. They joined the energetic dance session to wild cheers and thunderous applause that reverberated across the massive tent erected at Manor Garden in Ruai, on the outskirts of Nairobi City, for the grand occasion.

Guests were later treated to a sumptuous late lunch, followed by slices of a giant cake, cheerfully cut by the newlyweds to crown the memorable day.
The reception was graced by Mwingi North MP Paul Nzengu and his Kilome counterpart, Thaddeus Nzambia.
Earlier in the day, the couple renewed their marriage vows at the Family Tabernacle Church in nearby Utawala Estate, in a ceremony presided over by Pastor Isaiah Murigi of the same church. In attendance to witness the occasion were the groom’s mother and uncle, Lydia Kalekye and David Munywoki, respectively.
The bride’s parents, Charles Kiplangat and Josephine, were also present as witnesses.
