Kitui county MCAs today approved a motion to replace two County Assembly Service Board Members who were relieved of their duties on Tuesday. The motion was moved by Majority Leader Harrison Maluki and seconded by Tharaka MCA Muthengi Ndagara.
New Kitui County Assembly Service Board Members Wiper party Nominated MCA Jacquelene Kalenga and Athi MCA Muthama Kieti (Narc).
Yesterday, MCAs Mathew Ngovi of Chuluni ward (Wiper) and Hussein Mwandia of Ikutha (Narc) were ejected from the powerful positions in the board. Their places have been taken up by Hon Jacquelyne Kalenga (Nominated by Wiper) and Athi MCA Muthama Kieti who was elected on a Narc party ticket.
Speaker Kevin Katisya congratulated the new appointees and urged them to serve with utmost professionalism steering clear party politics.
The newly appointed board members pledged to work with honour in safeguarding the dignity of the Assembly Service board and the entire County Assembly.
