A 50-years-old man from Syomikuku area in Mwingi Central sub county, Kitui county is appealing for medical support following a sickness which has affected his spine, leaving him in paralysis.

The mother of his four children is said to have also abandoned the man since he became paralysed since August last year, leaving the helpless man being attended by his young children.
Peter Mwangangi was diagnosed with tuberculosis last year and put under medication but instead of recovering, his legs started becoming dump until he was completely unable to walk. He was then referred for further treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.

However, his family was unable to take him there due to lack of finances, since he was the only child in his family and his elderly mother could only do that much.
According to Peter Mwangangi, he has now been left at the mercies of God and any well wishers who could be touched by his story and come to his rescue.
His mother Ms Muyathi Ngue says that even the education of Peter's four children has been affected by his sickness, with the elder daughter who had been taken to study at a nearby polytechnic dropping out of school.

Mwingi Parish Priest father Anthony Mutiso who had heard the state of the man from neighbors, yesterday donated a wheelchair to the sick man to help with mobility and pleaded with well wishers to intervene and save the life of the man.
