Elderly man living in forest helped by wellwisher

A 70-year-old man from Mbuguri village in Mbeere North Subcounty in Embu county who has been living in a delapidated conditions for years and in a forest has gotten a reprieve from well wishers.

The man has been living in abject poverty on watch of his family members as he struggles to even get food. It is alleged that he was abandoned after they divorced with his wife.

According to the well wisher Jacob Ireri alias 'MBAO' who is hearing impaired, the elderly man  has been surviving at the mercies of villagers who know his condition , and has been struggling to walk since he has some health condition on his legs .

Ireri delivered food stuffs and clothes to the hopeless elder. He also promised to bring doctors at his place so that he can get treatment.

"This man here whom I learned his condition through social media has been living in pitiable condition,very deplorable condition to live for all those years. We have brought food stuffs and we shall build him a house," said Jacob through his interpreter.

Ireri said he was moved by the plight of the man prompting him to visit him.

He urged the financially stable to help the less fortunate.

Findesio Ngari the elder could not hide his joy when the well wisher who was accompanied by his friend convened at his place.

Ngari said despite making an application to benefit from cash transfer for the elderly, he was denied the opportunity for what he alleges was "a difference with the chief".

He alleges that back to his youthful age together with the chief they had expressed interest to marry a particular lady attracting a grudge with the administrator.

Ngari narrated the ordeal he has been going through especially during rainy season.

"I have gone through hell for some years. Actually, my home has only one muddy structure . The other walls were brought down by rain,"he said.
