A group of Kitui pastors hold hands together outside Kitui Law Courts on February 21, 2024 after a resident magistrate J. Asiago ordered a lawyer John Mwendwa and casual labourer Sylvester Mwinda, to take plea on charges of malicious damage to property.
Mr Asiago ruled that Mwendwa and Mwinda to take plea on March 6. The lawyer had filed an objection against taking the plea.
The prosecution allege the two and others not before court willingly and unlawfully damaged three speakers, tea cups, a refrigerator and other valuables all valued at Sh802, 500 at the Stuttgart restaurant in Kitui Township, the property of a businessman Bernard Kilonzo Issah alias Kikemu at 16.20 hours on December 19 last year. The two are out on a Sh10,000 bond each.|PAUL MUTUA
