A Kitui-based lawyer, John Mwendwa (in glasses) and casual labourer Sylvester Mwinda, before Kitui Resident Magistrate, J. Asiago, on Monday on charges of malicious damage to property. Asiago ruled the duo to take plea on March 6. Mwendwa had filed an objection against taking the plea. The prosecution allege the two and others not before court willingly and unlawfully damaged three speakers, tea cups, a refrigerator and other valuables all valued at KSh802, 500 at the Stuttgart restaurant in Kitui Township the property of a businessman Bernard Kilonzo Issah alias Kikemu at 6.20hours on December 19 last year.
