The latest weather forecast from Kitui County Director of Meteorological Services Mr Daniel Mbithi indicates that the March-April-May, MAM rains season is However, there will be reduced rains of less than one millimeter in most areas. "Most areas in the county are expected to continue receiving reduced rainfall not exceeding 1mm during the forecast period. There is a small chance that few areas may receive 5-10mm of rainfall", said the Weatherman.
The maximum temperature during the forecast period is expected to range between 24°C to 34°C while the minimum temperature will be between 15°C and 23°C.
County agricultural extension officers will be at hand to help farmers in adopting best farm practices. Residents have been reminded to utilize the services of those officials at the ward level.
