3 DEAD AS POLICE RECOVER 54 STOLEN LIVESTOCK, KYUSO OCPD SAYS

Police in Kyuso sub county are   investigating an incident where three people were killed and 54 heads of livestock stolen. The incident happened at Wemuye area deep inside Mwingi Game Reserve.

Kyuso OCPD Edwin Otieno said that three men from Somali community were found dead. They were two elderly men and a young man. 25 goats and 29 sheep which where stolen were recovered in a bush  strandling Kitui and Tana River county borders. "The livestock were recovered in the bushes. They were not in people's homes. We took them to the nearby police post where they were put for safe custody", said the Kyuso police boss.

OCPD Otieno appealed to residents of both Kitui and Tana River counties to remain calm and volunteer information to police for investigations to unravel the criminals behind the heinous incident.
