Dear H.E. President William Samoei Ruto,
I am writing to you with great concern and a sense of urgency regarding the neglect of Mwingi North, Kitui County, under your administration. Despite your numerous visits to other regions, launching projects, and bringing development, Mwingi North remains forgotten.
We are struggling with:
- Deplorable road conditions
- Lack of a hospital and adequate healthcare facilities
- No ambulance services
- Water scarcity
Specifically, we urge you to consider the following projects:
- Tarmacing of Kamuwongo-Ngungami-Irira road, connecting Mwingi and Embu counties, to enhance business and trade between the two regions
- Completion of Mwingi-Kiambere Water Project Phase II, addressing our water scarcity challenges
As someone who has lived in Mwingi North all my life, I've seen firsthand the impact of these challenges on our community. I implore you not to punish the people of Mwingi North for any political reasons.
Mr. President, we request that you plan a three-day tour to Kitui County, specifically Mwingi North, from 15th to 17th October 2024, to:
- Assess our situation
- Launch projects and initiatives
- Bring development and hope to our people
Despite perceived political inclinations, the majority of us believe in your leadership and would embrace your gesture of coming to us with your development agenda. We eagerly await your response and look forward to welcoming you to Mwingi North.
Sincerely,
Peter Mwendwa Muthui
