This week is expected to generally exhibit sunny and dry conditions over most parts of Kitui County. The Kenya Meteorological Department, in its latest weather forecast report says that the maximum temperature during the forecast period ending September 30, will range between 25°C and 36°C while the minimum temperature will be from 13°C to 22°C.
The high temperatures will also be accompanied by strong winds which are expected to be in most parts of the county. "Strong south-easterly wind with speeds exceeding 25 knots (12.9 m/s) are expected in most parts of the county ", reads the weather forecast in part.
Residents have been advised to consult their local agricultural extension officers for advice on best farm practices since the rain season is beckoning.
