Addressing their issues to both county government and national government in a meeting set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of PWDs, they raised issues concerning their well being and how they are mostly affected in society.

They requested the county government to build public toilets that are disabilities' friendly, complaining that they have been facing a huge challenge when it comes to going for calls of nature.

They also requested the government to reduce the cost of the tools that the PWDs need for their survival like the walking sticks, wheelchairs, hearing aids, among others which have been unaffordable to them making their lives difficult. On top of this, they requested the government to provide some tools for free as some PWDs can neither buy nor live without them.

Additionally, they requested the county government to look and change the environment of county hospitals where there are few surgeons to operate people with disabilities.

Moreover,  the PWDs in Kitui county asked the national government to add more offices in different areas where these people can access services from short distances and in a simple way.
