Rainfall is expected to continue over most parts of Kitui county, the weatherman has said. The weekly forecast indicates that there will be moderate north easterly to easterly winds with speeds not exceeding 12.5 knots which is equivalent to 6.5m/s.
"The maximum temperatures are expected to range from 22°C-32°C while the minimum temperatures are expected to range from 16°C-21°C", said Kitui County Director of Meteorological Services Mr Daniel Mbithi.
Since most residents are farmers, they have been told to consult their respective local extension officers for advice on best farm practices in light of this weather forecast.
