Director of Coordinations at Statehouse Boniface Mutisya Musambi has sponsored 714 youth to join Kitui East Training and Vocational College. The Bonnie Musambi Scholarship has been funding bright students from humble backgrounds to realize their academic dreams after completing secondary school education.

The youth who could not join colleges or universities after sitting for KCSE get a chance to acquire technical skills in order for better livelihoods. Addressing the beneficiaries during the third edition of the exercise, Mr Musambi told the youth to work hard in order to succeed.
The renowned journalist took the opportunity to beseech parents and guardians to support their children's education as his foundation was funding only 95 per cent of the cost of education.
"Musambi Scholarship has covered only 95% of your education in this college and parents should take responsibility for the remaining part to make you comfortable while learning", he said.

Musambi reminded students to keep in mind what they want to become after studies in order to have a drive of excellence as they navigate their studies.
In 2022, he vied for Kitui Central MP seat with the UDA ticket and lost the race to Dr Makali Mulu of Wiper party.
