Families of the abducted, murdered demand justice

By MUSYOKA NGUI

The abductions and killings of young people cannot be wished away, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka said when he visited Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly City Mortuary, to give condolences to the families of Justus Mutumwa and Martin Mwau. He was accompanied by DAP Kenya Party leader Eugene Wamalwa, former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu as well as top elected leaders from Wiper.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka addressing the media at City Mortuary, Nairobi. He backed establishment of Commission of Inquiry to unravel the truth about abductions and murder of young people in Kenya. CS Justin Muturi is the proponent of this move to President William Ruto.
The former Vice President backed calls by Public Service CS Justin Muturi for the government to set up a Commission of Inquiry to establish who is responsible for the heinous acts of injustice. "Ruto will not establish the Commission alone. He must involve the Opposition", said Musyoka adding that the country was paying a high price by losing its youth.

The abducted young men came to be known as the Mlolongo Four.  It took six weeks for the bodies of Mutumwa and Mwau to be found. Karani Muema and Stephen Mbisi Kavingo are still missing. Families, civil society leaders and the Opposition are demanding answers from President William Ruto government over the disappearances and murders targeting dissidents.
"This country is free for all. Nobody who can defend you when you're abducted and killed", said Senior Counsel Musyoka.
