An elephant trampled on a man aged 46 years old in Kivaa ward, Machakos county, killing in on the spot.
Witnesses said that the elephant marauded in Masinga sub county on Tuesday morning when angry residents tried to herd it away in order to drive it from their farms.
It is during the altercation that it knocked the middle-aged man killing him.
The elephant then crossed to the nearby Kitui county and injured another man in Thaana Nzau village, Mwingi.
