A pillion passenger died on the spot in an accident involving two vehicles and a bodaboda. An oncoming bus from Nairobi killed her, witnesses said.
"A vehicle travelling to Hagadera, motor and a lorry were involved in a grisly road accident in Mwingi town", said an eye witness.
A woman was crashed on her head while the vehicle moved its tyres on the road. She died instantly, MWINGI TIMES has established.
The bodaboda rider was overtaking when he stepped on the tyres of the lorry and fell on the road. He was going to Muliluni village past Tyaa bridge" said Mr Benard Mbisi, a resident.
The bodaboda rider who was carrying the deceased sustained minor injuries and fled the scene.
By press time, we had not established the name of the deceased and their home. Family and friends were not available for comment.
