Police in Mwingi Central sub county, Kitui county are on high alert as reports emerged that unidentified persons were ferried in a Toyota Voxy car and dropped between Miambani and Lundi villages in Mui Ward.
Residents have intercepted the man ferrying the unidentified people. Latest reports from a resident who witnessed the arrest are that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers nabbed the driver and one of the suspects. "DCI washachukua dere na one of the suspects", the source said.
Investigations are underway. Mwingi is a transit town used by travellers from North Eastern region to get to Nairobi and back.
