Kindiki, flanked by a host of Kenya Kwanza leaders, used the rally to unleash a sweeping attack on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who was holding a parallel campaign only a few miles away in support of DP candidate Newton Karish.

“This is the last time these people will be roaming here humiliating other leaders,” Kindiki declared, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

The Deputy President accused the Opposition camp of engaging in what he termed as “politics of empty rhetoric” and vowed that the Kenya Kwanza team would remain firmly on the ground until victory is secured.

Kindiki said he will personally pitched camp in Mbeere North and would stay until Muthende clinches the seat, insisting the constituency urgently needs a leader aligned with the national government’s development agenda.

According to him, Leonard Muthende represents the “best and most capable” leadership the people of Mbeere North can entrust with their future.

He further highlighted ongoing projects spearheaded by the Kenya Kwanza administration, including major road construction, expansion of water systems, and other infrastructure works across the constituency.

Kindiki told residents that only a government-aligned MP can effectively push these projects to completion, arguing that electing Muthende would guarantee continued development momentum.

At the same event, Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programs Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku expressed confidence that the UDA candidate has built a commanding lead ahead of the poll.

Ruku said the energy witnessed in Siakago and across other parts of Mbeere North is a clear indication that residents are ready to vote overwhelmingly for Muthende.

The intense political duel has raised national attention, with both the government and opposition treating the race as a test of strength in the region.

The by-election, slated for Thursday next week, the 27th, will pit the two rival camps head-to-head in what is now shaping up as one of the most hotly contested mini-polls in recent political history.
