The Embu Sevens Circuit has officially kicked off at Embu Moi Stadium, bringing together some of the country's top rugby talents for a weekend of intense competition.
The tournament has attracted 40 teams, comprising 16 teams in Division One, 16 in Division Two and eight women's teams, setting the stage for a highly competitive leg of the national sevens circuit.
The opening matches have already produced impressive performances, with Daystar Falcons defeating MMUST 14–7 in the men's competition.
In the women's category, Impala RFC Ladies made a strong start with a commanding 29–0 victory over NYS RFC Ladies, while Mwamba Ladies recorded the biggest win so far, thrashing Meru Ladies 61–0.
Tournament Director Wilkister Miranga said the Embu leg is expected to provide high-stakes competition as teams battle for crucial points and a chance to make their mark on the circuit.
With several matches still to come, rugby fans at Moi Stadium can expect a weekend packed with speed, physicality and exciting sevens action as teams fight for supremacy in Embu.
