The onset of October-November-December [OND] rains is expected to occur during the first and second week of November 2024, Kitui County Director of Meteorological Services Daniel Mbithi has said.
Rainfall forecast for the month of October 2024 shows that there will be near to below normal conditions over most parts of Kitui County.|KMD
The much anticipated rains will mark the end of albeit temporary, hot period. Still, this week will be marked by high temperatures ranging from 27°C and 35°C.
The minimum temperature in Kitui county will oscillate between 15°C and 24°C. Like previously reported, there will be strong winds blowing across the county. The weatherman says the speed will exceed 25 knots or 12.9 m/s.
