After brutal killing of father to renowned Kamba Gospel artist Fortune Mwikali, police are treating his son as prime suspect even as they move to unravel the murder questions.
Mumoni OCPD Paul Saitoti said the son to the late Musyoka Mutonya alias Ndekele was being treated as a person of interest.
"The son was the last person who was with the deceased on Tuesday evening before his body was discovered outside his house on Wednesday morning. He will be questioned in the probe", said Mumoni OCPD Paul Saitoti.
The deceased was 75 years old. He suffered two deep panga cuts on his forehead. He was found lying in a pool of blood on Wednesday morning.
OCPD Saitoti has welcomed members of public to volunteer any information that would solve the probe.
The daughter, Fortune Mwikali mourned her dad's death by recalling their final conversation a day before his death. She concluded the post thus: Sleep well Dad.
Mumoni ward representative Titus Kasinga said that the deceased did not deserve to meet such a cruel end of his life. "I am shocked why anyone would have the reason to have the quiet old man dead".
