Turn up in large numbers to receive bursaries, MP Nzengu tells residents

By MWINGI TIMES CORRESPONDENT

As the new academic year begins, parents have been urged to prioritize educating their children for better future.               In an interview with MWINGI TIMES, Mwingi North MP Paul Musyimi Nzengu called upon parents to turn up in large numbers for allocation of bursaries in the designated areas such as chief's camps. He said they should arrive early. That is, by 8am in the morning. "From 13th January, we will start to go around issuing bursaries at locational headquarters. I am requesting all parents who need bursaries in paying school fees in secondary, university, college and polytechnic to come get support. This is similar to what we do every  other year. There are no changes", said the MP.

Parents and guardians were reminded to bring documents identifying  prospective beneficiaries. They include school fees structures, receipts and admission numbers of the learners.
"To reduced the problems we have been getting, ensure you write the name of the school and institutions correctly in order to avoid having cases of bouncing of cheques", said the  MP.
Members of the public have also been called upon to use the bursary issuing opportunities to propose items to be undertaken by the Mwingi North MP for the financial year 2025/2026
"Give priorities to avoid blaming leaders for projects you need to be addressed such as construction of schools and police posts. We will follow your priorities", he concluded.
