Barely a month after burying a family patriarch, a family in Kilifi County is in sorrow after their son died on Friday night together with two others. The three were South Eastern Kenya University students. They died on the spot when the motorbike they were riding on hit a stationary truck packed by the roadside.
The accident happened at around 930pm along Kwa Vonza-Kitui road. An eye witness told the media at the time that the trio were speeding.
Area chief Mr Ronald Mbuvi confirmed the incident. The packed lorry had a mechanical failure.
Police arrived at the scene of incident and took the bodies of the deceased to Kitui hospital mortuary as investigations go on.
