Kitui Senator urges President Ruto to act on insecurity in the county

By BONIFACE MWANIKI

Kitui senator Enoch Kiio Wambua has called upon President William Ruto to swiftly act on the rising insecurity along the border between Kitui and Tana River counties, claiming that the local administration led by the Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has failed.

Speaking at Musila garden in Mwingi town where his office was streaming the Kenya versus Madagascar CHAN game for the locals, the senator said that the escalating cases of insecurity could only be solved by the president himself.

Wambua told president Ruto that the buck stops with him in matters security and that he should ensure peace is restored to Kitui before his official visit comes 20th October during Mashujaa Day celebrations.

However, the senator also reminded the president that the region was firmly behind Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's leadership and wouldn't swayed by anything to support him.
