The first water harvesting cistern has been completed at Kalimbui Day Secondary School in Kitui County. The Government of Kenya and that of Brazil have partnered in the cistern projects. They will also do other similar works in Ndunguni Primary School (Embu County) and Nkarini Primary School (Tharaka Nithi County). The Arid and Semi Arid counties were targeted in the pilot phase.
